The Pearl Experience
The odds of finding a pearl in a wild oyster are 1 in 10,000, and the odds of that pearl being gemstone quality are 1 in a million. But with SHUX, your guests odds are 1 in 1. Our oyster chefs will unlock the oyster and let the guests discover and extract the pearl treasure. The guests can say a prayer, wish, or set an intention for the pearl treasure before placing it on a necklace for them to treasure forever. The pearls come in multiple colors with different meanings for each color. This is truly an interactive experience they'll never forget.
From Shucking Corn to Shucking Oysters
Growing up in a small Iowa farm town, SHUX founder Benjamin Schreen is no stranger to working with his hands. From roguing, detasseling, and picking rock in the cornfields, to construction, demolition and being a butcher, manual labor was a way of life. When acting and music pursuits brought him to Los Angeles, he stumbled upon shucking oysters for events and unlocked a newfound passion for oysters and caviar.
After years as an oyster chef, he had the idea to shuck oysters from a glowing deep-sea diver's helmet attached to his belt. Just like that, SHUX was born. "The Pearl Experience" concept followed. Benjamin and SHUX can't wait to share their passion for oysters, caviar, and pearls in a way you've never experienced before!
